A researcher from La Trobe University Professor Jeni Warburton has been interviewing dozens of people in smaller and larger regional towns.
Dr Warburton says their results show that although disadvantages exist, they are overcome by a strong sense of community.

Early hours of his morning another Indian has been attacked in North West Melbourne suburb of Essendon .
ABC News reported the 29 year old man was attacked by 4 men who poured fluid over him and set him alight. He has burns to 15% of his body.
